identify command
« on: October 03, 2016, 04:54:01 PM »
Has anyone else had any success with this command? I'm not entirely sure how this works (never used it before) but this is what happens when I try to use it (this is at clan blacksmith):

browse robe
You browse through the merchandise and notice:
The robe appears to be brand new. (99%)
A dark interrogator's robe is wearable: body.
The robe appears to be brand new. (99%)
A seeker's robe is wearable: about.
The robe appears to be brand new. (100%)

A seeker's robe is wearable: about.

identify robe
The stronghold's blacksmith tells you 'I don't have that.'

According to the help file

IDENTIFY allows the following format :

        identify <keyword>
Example: "identify battle.axe" or "identify 2.axe"

The IDENTIFY command in a shop will give information similar to other means
used to discern the properties of an item. The power of IDENTIFY will vary
per shopkeeper, while its cost will always exceed the selling price of the
item.

Thanks!

It doesn't work.

We're working on it. It was created/tested on a mob that stored items in its inventory, and then applied to a mob that stores its items in a vault, so it can't find the item to identify.

Should be fixed at some point soon.
