Sometimes I agree with you Sean, but this just looks like whiny bitch shit. Guess you were pro-nightmare being worthless as well.

Sounds like you are being sarcastic but Red Robes have historically been underpowered compared to the other robes / classes in group fights. Or are you trying to say that by making Red Robes closer to Black Robes in group fights, it is making an existing problem even worse?

I loved playing a red robe. I didn't have a problem with them before. Nor were/are they underpowered to other mages or classes. Actually, I don't discriminate: I'm pro-all-area being worthless shit. :)

it does seem kind of lame to be able to walk in and cast 1 spell and half the enemies are disabled.  not that they would have had much of a chance anyway in those circumstances.  but that is how arctic has always been.

Spellpower is OP.
Alone the fact that you can buy 4 spell mods ranks and only -3ss ranks is weird? then add on top of that potential racial spellpower, legend spellpower and (not in Mccree's case) class spellpower (comeuppance), that's +6spellpower + w/e comeuppance gives. I know there's a lot more -ss gear than +spellpower gear, but still.. Does imms think this is balanced??

I suggest that spell mod ranks get replaced with +%dam done instead.

Tajs has a practical suggestion for balancing.  I can appreciate that.

For those people who think it's instantly lame:

Next time, just don't bother posting the log for people to enjoy.

Please consider that the most powerful clan in the game had spent the entire wipe preparing to load the spell that is "lame". And that if you ever find yourself in a need to defend yourself against RISE, Nightmare and PWS are the only practical ways you may have to even the odds.  Having a legend paladin with freedom or a legend white robe with cleanse would help.  I dare anyone to challenge RISE at its current level without these spells or with nightmare being at the shit level of the last 5 years (and no PWS). Prepare to get mopped up and beg for hoss level dam gimps so they don't hit so hard and in the name of balance and fairness.

Shit is pathetic. Some of this playerbase's mentality is softer than Richard Simmons in a slap fight vs. Ryan Seacrest.  What's your guys char names so I can load you a vase of tears. It's funny because the people who got killed aren't even the ones crying in here. They probably were like... "We need to get that shit ASAP"

I for one am happy to see the greatest spell ever from my childhood back in action.  Thank you immortals for this one. PWS is still as awesome as it ever was.

so much rage!

you are right pws would be a powerful too for an underpowered clan to fight back.  it just doesnt make for a very interesting fight for us log watchers.  but in an ambush its either be cc'd until you die or instant recall so its not going to be super exciting either way.

Would you make an exception for assail-style area where you cannot engage/initiate with it but only retaliate with it?

Yes I have been on a rage level alllll weeeek, baby! Happy Friday.

IMNSHO: a good log is one with lots of death and equipment changing hands.

I don't want to parse 50 rounds of combat where the only death is the guy who goes full-Feuling and forgets a recall.

Stun/nightmare is easily disabled as eddie mentions, as long as there are no Isabella type mages out there.....

Murder was in fact a fairly uncommon event in Ankh-Morpork, but there were a lot of suicides.  Walking in the night-time alleyways of The Shades was suicide.  Asking for a short in a dwarf bar was suicide.  Saying ‘Got rocks in your head?’ to a troll was suicide.  You could commit suicide very easily, if you weren’t careful.
